The following are the required supporting documents for your visa application:
1. Pre-Requisites:
- A valid travel document issued within the last 10 years and containing at least two blank pages
- The validity of the travel document must be at least 3 months longer than your intended departure date from the Schengen Area or, for a long stay, at least three months longer than the expiry date of the visa
- All pages of your travel document containing visas, entry and exit stamps must be scanned
- An ID photograph
- If you are not a national of the country where you reside, provide proof of legal residency (e.g. residence permit).
- If you have an official travel document, a note verbale is required.
2. Purpose of Travel/Stay:
- Confirmation of reservation for an organized trip or any other document outlining the planned itinerary
- Proof of return ticket reservation or travel itinerary.
3. Socio-Professional Situation:
- Evidence of socio-professional status (e.g. employment contract, certificate of employment, trade and companies register extract, school attendance certificate, pension proof).
- Any documents proving personal connections to the country of residence (e.g. marriage certificate, family record book).
4. Funds:
- Bank statements, pay slips, pension statements.
5. Accommodation:
- Hotel reservation or proof of sufficient funds to cover daily expenses (minimum of €120/day), tenancy agreement, or certificate of ownership
- If staying with a private individual, provide proof of accommodation (Cerfa form).
6. Travel Health Insurance:
- Certificate of travel health insurance.
Processing Time:
Visa applications are generally processed within 15 days. This period can be extended up to 45 days in particular cases if the examination of the application justifies it.
